New to reef2reef and im starting this thread about first pico tank. Im sure I will be making some mistakes and you guys will help point them out. The tank has been running about 2 months. Its stocked with 3 sexy shrimp a small cuc a citron goby (which was supposed to be a yellow clown goby) im told the goby is too big for the tank but it seems happy. coral wise I wanted too do a sick zoa garden, a little star polyp flat rock glued to the back wall, maybe some cool looking mushrooms, and like 3 different colored acans in front.( I was just told on another site I shouldn't have any hards in there.) Why? I plan on doing 50% water changes every 10 days. Any info would be great..

Very nice! Like the rockwork!

They are stock. Should be fine to handle my plan for the tank + the make corals look awesome pictures dont do it justice.

Looks killer! With proper care and steady maintenance I belive you could keep stony coral as long as you avoid anything with sweeper tentacles. As far as water changes go I think doing a very small daily or every other day goes a long way for stability in a tank of this size.

Added some mushrooms that are now the sexy shrimps hangout. Also glued a disk frag of gsp to the left back wall. Tank looks so good with just the blues on. Pictures do it no justice.

Replaced rusting screws with galvanized ones and siliconed over them. Tank is doing great and everything in it seems happy..

The jbj stinks. Besides all the other problems I've had, pump just burn out while I was away for a day. Set up my old 14 gal biocube.

Question? Any problems with putting a peppermint shrimp with three sexy shrimp? The new 14 gallon in place of the 3 gallon is doing good. Add a few bumblebee snails they're pretty cool.

I wouldn't put a peppermint in a 3g...and as predatory as they _can_ be, I wouldn't put them with any critter small enough that they could kill it.

The 3 gal is now a 14 gal biocube. Had to switch tanks in emergency.

HELP. Purigen in my tank! Bag must have been broken or ripped. Not a lot of it got out but a little looks like a ton in my tank. Put an extra filter Floss but it's on some corals an who knows if my goby tried to eat it.
