Happy Fill in the blank Friday!

Tell us about your mean fish :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

My meanest fish is my clownfish. She bullies my Bristletooth tang, one spot Foxface, pajama Cardinalfish, and my Halloween hermit crab. The Pink/Blue Spotted Watchman is the only one to dish it back at her!

What a surprise.. clownfish. I just wanted to do some basic tank maintenance but my clowns didn't like their anemone being cleaned so they bit my hands till they bled
She hasn’t gone for mine or my husband’s hands yet, but it’s only a matter of time. She’s super aggressive about cleaning tools going in hers and her little man’s corner and I’m just waiting to bleed!

The flower horn that my daughter in law had, drew blood every time he got tired of being petted and she pet him almost daily.

So... she never learned her lesson? lol

The meanest fish in my aquarium is my purple tang.

He really isn’t that bad though, he is just mean to new additions.
Is it mean to your fish, just you, or both?

Are they protecting a certain area in the tank like they might start laying?

Now my fish gets along pretty well and I cannot really say any of them is mean. But my four stripes black and white damsel was very aggressive to new fish and killed one green chromis. She calmed down now.
Now and then when they spawn, the male green chromis chase any fish that goes close to their eggs, but they do not bite them, just chase them.

About 10 years ago I had a pair of maroon clowns. The female was one of the meanest fish I’ve ever seen. She would bite me so hard it would draw blood and leave scars.

Fast forward to today, and the meanest fish in my tank is another clownfish. This is Scott, and he is a deick:

Huma huma by far my biggest jerk does not like any newcomers and has killed one or two so I stopped adding. Unfortunately it’s my kids favorite so he has to stay.
That Huma looks like he has no regrets :grinning-face-with-sweat: :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Unless they’re considering THE ENTIRE BACK WALL as their conservation area, I think she’s just a brat that will be first for the instant pot when the apocalypse happens

Huma Huma looks like he’s about to drop the hottest mixtape of 2022.

Beautiful fish! He looks fearless.
