Getting excited!
I'm about 2 weeks from set up!!
I have my sump siliconed together.
Just need to get the 120 carried in from the garage and start messing around with a couple plumbing bits before initial set up.
I've been sitting here trying to do puzzles in my head of how I'd make 40 gallons of RODI, heat and mix salt then get that in the aquarium in a decent amount of time while the fish corals are in buckets waiting for the tank to be filled.
So my answer is; I need to go grab another 44 Brute can make an extra mix container temporarily, the one I already have full, plus the 40 gallons in the current tank will only get me to 80 of the 120 needed.
I just spoke for 25# of live rock with a bunch of coral on it, to get the tank seeded properly.
I just ordered a bottle of Fritzyme as well to help with bacteria availability.
I was kind of worried about messing up the cycle having 75% new Saltwater with 25% old Saltwater but with the Fritz and 3 year old live rock I feel pretty safe about throwing fish and corals in right away.
I also ordered a nifty pump that sucks from the bottom and can empty a bucket or whatever it's in down to 2mm from the bottom!
The Sicce Ultra Zero is a multi-purpose utility pump, perfect for when you just need a sturdy pump to move water from one place to another, such as for pumping freshly mixed saltwater to your tank after a water change, or refilling reservoirs. The Ultra Zero has plenty of power to pump water...

This will be used for water transfer from here on out during water changes; dirty water out the window and then SW Brute can to tank.
I'm going bare bottom, high flow.
My goal is to get the bottom encrusted with Leptoseris, Cyphastrea and GSP.
I've attached a photo of the rock with coral that I'm getting.
For rock there's a tower, arch and cave totalling 25# or so.
Corals included are GSP, Xenia, Cespitularia and small amount of pink zoas.
