So Kat? Have you decided what exactly you want in the tank as far as corals go?

I have... a selection... that has been sponsored for.
Honestly, I love it all! We get so few corals here, the coral expo is like giving me too much caffeine!!! So many things I've never seen except in pics. I have much to learn.

Well, plan your rock with a small cove at the bottom of the tank for euphyllia... that's all I'm sayin'...

I have been wanting a euphyllia garden. I got a little bit stressed at the store on Thursday. 99.00 per head for the cheap ones. Honestly in reefing...my average check is less than 200.00

i heard something about scoly, lobo heart shaped ,pink/red,by the time you are ready pretty sure i can find you one;)

watch the sell forums and you can click on the state icon and that will list the threads from your state. I find if you live driving distance, not only can they pass the shipping savings onto you, they will put together packages at reduced price for you.

There is shortage of euphyllias for a while now and the growers have been focusing on high end unique torches and hammers, but I would bet there are classic colonies sitting in DT available for cutting and moving to a frag tank for a custom order.

I usually ask them to put together a pack for me with a budget as I am never looking for specific morphs, and have always been very happy what they have select to clear frag rack space, and what they throw in.

anthilia ,long pretty waving hands
Hands down, the single most invasive coral I ever put in my tank. A “friend” gave me a frag for my 140. Before long, I was pulling it out by the QUART monthly and throwing it in the trash. It would grow over and smother everything in the tank and new colonies popped up everywhere. I hope none of that finds its way into my new tank. Hate the stuff.

Good morning. :-)
