"Summer camp" has been cancelled. They are going camping for a week instead. Had to buy some new fishing gear. I had 43.00 in tip money that almost covered his new rod/reel. The other fishing "necessities" were just for fun. He has fallen in love with fishing.

Somebody actually tipped me 20.00 for making something special last minute. They gave it to my co-worker to slip in my purse because I refused it. I like doing ice cream cakes anyway.

Cristobal report: Right now it is looking to make landfall as a tropical storm east of us, around the middle of the state. We will still get some rain, but we are on the good side of the storm. Tropical storms are still serious business. When Hurricane Harvey in 2017 stalled out over east Texas as a tropical storm, it dumped 60” of rain around the Houston area. Ridiculous flooding. Hoping this is just a minor event though.

Got a little over 7" of rain here Saturday and Sunday because of Cristobal

Unless you are eating it is the best way to go. Just remind him to use barbless hooks or to use needlenose pliers and close the barb.
