They are still having our fireworks show at the lake in the middle of town - but they closed the beach and anywhere people could assemble. Idiots. I think they may televise it. It’s not dark yet here but there are some going off. Illegal here in the city limits. Not enforced. My dogs used to be terrified. Both them are gone now. My puppy doesn’t seem to mind them - yet.

I hope everyone has gotten to enjoy the holiday. Hippie kid and I were camped out on the driveway watching fireworks all around. Really pretty and tons of lightning bugs out too. Burgers and fireworks. A pretty good evening!

Good morning. Surprisingly quiet night in our neighborhood. Fireworks all around us but only some kids popping firecrackers 4 houses down. I can handle that. It is the heavy-duty stuff they sell to the public nowadays that is over the top in a quiet neighborhood. So actually got some sleep. I hope all of you did too.
