Glad to see you all too. Quick update. I flew 6 and had ground school 6 days a week. I currently have 53 hours with 7 solo hours. Checkride is next week. did my mock checkride last week and absolutely crushed it! Oh and I turned 17 3 weeks ago

IM BACK! Just as I was about to drill my tank about 30 minutes ago I couldn’t find my bit. ugh Im so mad. Of course the week that I’m super motivated and have the money I don’t have all The stuff

Welcome back Ace, p poor planning = ppp. ;)

One of my 80 or so blennies I brought back from Florida says “What’s up? These be my zoas.”

Not all brought back at once. I follow FWC rules. Which is actually beneficial to me. Got checked last trip down, was all good and the game warden told me a nice spot to find a ton non-photosynthetic nems, as I was following the rules and only managed to find one of them where I was at.

That’s awesome you collect them from here! What part of Florida do you get them?

Around Stuart area typically. We snorkel/dive at ft. Pierce, bathtub beach reef, and the entire inter coastal. I grew up down there.

The blennies can be found in tidal pools in mass lol. The nems are a little harder. They like tidal areas no on the coast, but salty. Flip over rocks and they will be under them. They catch whatever they can when the tide moves. I assume they do not eat fish as they are not super sticky and can barely hang onto mysis lol. I have 6 in my sump for the 180 and they are doing great. Also have about 12 in the puffer tank. They always end up with bits from the Puffer’s food on them, so works well. The ones I have a warty sea anemones. Not the colored ones, just plain and almost clear.

if you are lucky, you will find super small angels or Atlantic blue tang juvis in those pools and some damsels as well. Just make sure they are not Sargent majors lol. Dusky damsels are awesome when little, but turn brown when full grown. They also are not aggressive or territorial and make a great addition imo. They eat algae, flat worms, frozen, pellets or whatever. My last dusky moved to a friends tank and has eradicated his flatworm issue.

Well, this is looking about as bad as you could imagine. We are on the northeast quadrant of a screaming force of nature. Strong Cat 4 right now and if it doesn’t make it to an official Cat 5 it will be only a few miles per hour short. 20 foot storm surge will go well inland - like 35 miles or better. My house is within the range of the surge. Send us some good karma because the outlook is pretty grim at this point.

If you need help with anything when you return home hit me up...I'm free on the weekends and don't mind driving over to give you a hand with whatever you need.

Yep its a lawnmower...and just fed about 30 minutes ago, so pump is still off...first time I've noticed him do this.
They are one of my favorite fish and always do something curious or just plain weird lol.
