Okay everyone..been on another thread where th OP wants to know if his hammer is dead. A couple of people have been trying to help. His tank is only a couple of months old. I’m not quite sure if he understands the importance of knowing/maintaining the parameters of the tank. A couple of his replies..

Do I give up?

Yes, just the fact he's mixing tap with RO/DI means that hammer was dead before the water hit the tank.

People may laugh, but it makes me sad to know those coral and fish don’t stand a chance. I get upset when something in my tank dies.

We have tried not to name them... but there is talk of keeping it in the old 75g

I don't think it's funny in the slightest, I get upset when my snails die, these are living creatures which are under our care and it is always upsetting and frustrating to see someone with little or no willingness to learn or listen just killing things at random.

I can try to translate... He says he's using tap and prime, and adding it to his RODI... I don't think he understands water quality or the importance of keeping nitrates and chemicals out of the tank.

But yeah, his tap is probably full of copper, this isn't gonna end well until he understands water chemistry.
