I agree, in the US alone the flu has infected 34 million people, 350,000 of which needed to be hospitalized and 23,000+ didn't survive. But to everyone else, it's just another flu season.
Right! More community, less government. My view is this...we are a community. A global community. We all have a responsibility from individuals on up. Change has to start with us. From recycling to illness. I hope we learn from this time of fear. Let's be a smarter community tomorrow, and every day after that.

if everybody thought this way ?no words..yes we know what we did ,dont let them, great post..I have a grim outlook on the whole "Smarter community" thing. I see too many indicators that it will go sour on us. I hold out hope... I raised 4 kids who will make it through this, and one who might if he pulls his head out of.... um... yeah... family oriented... right. I do my absolute best to make sure those who come after me won't make as many of the same mistakes I made, or if they make them, they know how to set it right... But Kat, I lose more and more faith every day... People like you, fishguy, Crusso, Caveman, najer and myself... we're not the common community anymore... and I'm so glad I found you guys, 'cause I appreciate all of you SO MUCH for your insights, and your close bond, and your inclusivity, and your humor.
But sometimes I look out on the world and just outright despair.

ok considering, just waiting to see sunrise to a new day!all this talk, and I am still at work lol. How in the world does a Senior Program Manager get stuck with supporting techs in the field lol. Also, why in a trying time do “mission critical” projects seem to be riddled with programming issues that I have no network access to fix...... also having trouble getting the programmers on the phone. Some people should not be allowed to work from home lol.
ok enough of my rant.
So how is everyone doing? All things considered.

Only “essentials” allowed to work. Pizza too. People are on their own to police themselves and the only thing open is gas, grocery/drug store and pizza. The trains are completely empty. They run mostly for the healthcare support.yes and no people ny in stay or harbor in place ,total qt?
