So, I test my RODI for nitrates, phosphates, copper, iron, and TDS ever so often.... I've been noticing my DKH creeping up recently, so I tested my RODI...

16 dkh.

My source water... is 16 dkh.

I have no idea how long it's been like that.

This is why we cant have nice things

What Is the Hardness of My Water?

In Rockford, the water is very hard. When you purchase a water softener, it is helpful to know what the hardness levels are in your neighborhood.
If you live west of the Rock River, the hardness is 18 – 20 grains per gallon.
If you live east of the Rock River, and West of Fairview Blvd, the hardness is 21-25 grains per gallon.
If you live east of Fairview Blvd. to the City limits, the hardness is 17-19 grains per gallon.

I'm in the 18-20 grains category...

18 grains is 308.477074019 PPM.

or 17.246 DKH.

I have a TDS meter after. Before is kinda irrelevant to me.

Reads 1, always has.

I know straight out of the tap it reads much... much... higher.

Last I checked it was 517. Today it checks in at 440.

i was pulling 380. out of well in cary il can knock down slightly by adding whole house filter before unit,but sounds like prob w unit? should bring good water in end ,just more filter changes

That is crazy.
My water's hardness is around 2 dKH and the TDS is usually 35.

EDIT: Just for fun, though, the PO4 is 2ppm ;Woot
