This is my fire place, they boxed out the corner posts, its only 1 piece of pine, but the crown compounds the look.
Not suggesting that but simple is sometimes elegant.

It'll be another 2-3 weeks until I pick up the tank.
I have 40lb of sand & 40lb of rock to go with the sand and rock already in the 40b that will get transferred over.
Figured the 10# of live rock will add biodiversity with my current rock while switching from the 40 to 120.
Only thing I'm debating is building a new stand.
Tank comes with a stand but there's a center divider and I'm not sure how much room I have to get a decent sump under there.?!
Hoping to use a 40b with a baffle kit for a nice cheap sump.

Underground contractor here...any cops around...great now to dash out and install another kitchen counter. The next one goes to the juvenile fish facility at Lower Granite Dam...a federal facility! I think we can call that one essential lol. Gotta duck down the city health inspector is looking for me lol. New name for my business is Rebel Contracting haha.
Have gloves and N95 mask will travel.

I hate this ******* 40b and almost smashed it this morning!!
I will NEVER get an external overflow ever again!!
I'm sick of constantly adjusting my gate valve 6 times per day.
I woke up this morning with a small leak from the overflow box that trickled down onto my power supply for my MP40 frying it, just had to order a new MP40 power supply.
I'm giving in and going to pick up that 120 this weekend.
That needs to be setup sooner than later before I do something I shouldn't.

I'm giving in and going to pick up that 120 this weekend.

Liked this for the 120 pickup but sucks about your MP 40. I wonder why you're having such a problem dialing in the external OF. I've run many of them and, once dialed in, rarely need to be adjusted.

I can go to bed with the overflow under half full and making gurgling noises, because of the strainer for the drain.
I'll wake up to silence and the overflow box full and leaking...I hate it!!
My office tank with internal overflow is silent and the gate valve hasn't been adjusted since i set it up!!

I have asternia starfish eating my zoa's right now. I'm in need of a harlequin shrimp. I'm guessing fish stores are not making orders right now. And I'm not sure that getting one from online would be wise now either.

Gurgling noise sounds like there is air not allowing the water to go down. Strainer clogged? I had one and never had that pronlem.

have you checked for a snail shell in drain?
