Well done on the 55"!

I had to enlarge your pic because I thought you were playing an old Asteroids video game. For real. Probably way before your time but the pic below will describe what I'm talking about.

I’ve played all kinds of old games when I was a few years younger. My mom still had her Nintendo so I was playing duck hunt and Zelda on it at my grandparents lol

"the universe is a manifestation of the one
and the oneness is inside the soul
the soul is our real self
the ego is who we think we are
and the soul is really, really who we are
soul comes from the one
from the god
and we are spiritual beings
visiting humanity
i want to know i want to know
i want to feel what's inside
i want to let it go, let it go i want let it all go
i'm surrounded by all these ghosts who can't confide
cannot let it go. Just let it go.
we're all satsang we are all truth
i want to know i want to know
i want to feel what's inside
i want to let it go i want to let it all go
there's no questions left to ask
all our lives are in the past
they come and go so easily
there's nothing left to be
if you identify with your soul
then you see other people as souls
and souls love one another
it's easy as a soul to love everybody
they're all manifestations of the one" - Ram Dass

Love you all #Katrinarinos

Sharing something special to me. I know I am an old codger and my taste in music is likely quite different than most here (except maybe @crusso1993). It was a tough loss last week when John Prine succumbed to the virus. I have followed his career for almost 50 years. Storytellers are my favorite songwriters, and John Prine was highly regarded as one of the very best. Countless Grammy nominations through the years and a nine-time winner. Yet, you won't really hear his music on the radio. One of the reasons I quit listening to radio many, many years ago.

Anyway, this is the last track on his last album from 2018 - "When I Get to Heaven." The video is from his YouTube channel. RIP John Prine.

"Tough loss" is a good way to put it, my friend.

While I didn't follow John Prine as long as you, I have been a big fan since I first heard him about 38 years ago on an album an older cousin had in his collection. I was fortunate enough to see John quite a number of times over the course of the 38 years. Matter of fact, I cannot recall a time I passed up the opportunity to see him. Last time I saw him was in June of 2018 at Ravinia. He played the song you posted above in his encore along with Paradise.

Since his death, I've been whistling (and singing) "When I Get to Heaven" and the song below and, although I am bummed, cannot help but smile.

I was trying to decide between that one and the one I did post. I love so many of his songs. "Grandpa Was A Carpenter" always reminds me of my grandpa, who was indeed a carpenter and very much like that song. His whole first album is just incredible and is timeless. Truly amazing that he wrote "Hello In There" when he was in his early 20s.

I can’t believe the Rona killed joe Diffie 2 weeks ago. Absolute legend.
i might be too old?? have no clue who you are talking about:oops:

Ur not too old lol. He played a huge part in country music in the 90s until all these pop country ruined it. He sang John deer green and pickup man

In three years of living at my current address, our power has only ever blinked a couple of times. So far it’s been out since 5:30am! (1:53pm eastern as I type this). Just finished my second round of manual aeration on both tanks...my arm is tired...this is ridiculous

In 2017 I lost power for 2 weeks. That was definitely “fun” gotta love hurricanes.

You might be my soul child! I was thinking the exact same thing lol

Ok it’s back on now. Feel bad for the other hundred thousand or so in NC who still don’t have it...

the real question is...what to do about the fridge
During the hurricanes we keep it shut. When we open it we put stuff in a cooler that we need often and then we hook up the fridge to the generator for 20 min to get the temp right and then keep it closed
