Monti caps... I really want one. I'm wondering what height in this tank? Other reefers have warned me to keep them low so they don't shade other coral.

Not sure why some reds don't have the white rim. Not sure of the name I should look for.

Honesty in Reefing. My Dad was really bad on Saturday. Mom needs surgery and my brother's addiction is bad. Stress and lupus are not a good combo. I'm trying to distract myself.

well wishes, but I appreciate these aren't situations that will get resolved with well wishes. Projects can be life savers. Nothing like burying yourself in productive activities to feed your soul with good stuff when there are negative things surrounding you that you cannot control.

Definitely don't put them high, unless you want to continually trim them. They can get massive, robbing light from everything below.

Personally never heard of one of those. I would say that is a growth ring. White as it forms new skeleton. The only bi-color monti cap that I am aware of is the green with purple rim, which is stunning.

So sorry to hear that your family is not doing well. They have really suffered for quite a while. You need to take care of yourself too.
