Two of the babies died. One was still in the net when I put them in the container to acclimate them...I swore I saw all three. The other started swimming funny when I put them in the tank..moved him to the sump and he was dead 30 minutes later.

I probably won’t be around much. My heart is broken. It hurts when I lose one, but knowing I left one in the net.. I wish I had left them!at the store. At the moment, I‘m ready to give up the tank. Maybe I’ll feel differently in a few days..

although comes with interesting side storyabout 1:30 am cst said kids lets go to dark side of town ,grabbed bino's,only daughter wanted to go,we go to edge of town dark road mid of nowhere pull over stand in mid of road ,look see nothing ,get in car turn around ,seconds lit up ,local police,good thing..yes..no prob very friendly,big prob,officer no gloves,no mask,not good....but this comet has 10 million mile long tail,check it out all

Very few cops wear them in the City and I assumed there was a reason or directive of some sort. I see them put them on once and a while, but they hang out often in pairs or groups without masks.

Anyone know how to remove the batteries from an engineer goby?!

I feel pretty lucky to have been able to observe the little guys over the years. Most things I've read about them online are pretty far off. Everything from dietary preference to behavior. I'm very glad we started with the 8 gallon. It gave us a chance to really fall in love with them.
