The last one on the 4th that I remember was in 82, I was sitting on top of the cascade mountains in Idaho with a bunch of hippies. Let's just say it was GROOVY;Wacky

Happy 4th everyone! Wife is with her sister and kids are camping....just me this year. Even lending the boat to friends for the 5th so kind of quite.
I do have the opportunity to preach this weekend which is a humbling experience. I would encourage y'all to look at the words of the Declaration of Independence if you have not read it in a while. Also look at the old U.S. motto "e Plurbus Unum, From many, one" perhaps the truth of those two statements can slow the fracture of our society. The new motto since 1956 is "In God We Trust" may not be as profound depending on your view or understanding of God. In either case I wish you all well my salty brothers and sisters!

I woke up this morning, had breakfast and browsed here for a bit. Then Cassie woke up and wanted to go outside. I walked to the gate, looked up and saw this...
Tree service cleared out the huge limb and will come back for the rest of the tree Next week. No more shady spot.
