The most frustrating thing...

For me, its watching my tank cycle. Takes forever!!! Evem though it really doesn't, it sure does feel that way sometimes.

coral growth and fish growth takes even more than eternity.... Get used with the sloooooowwwww mooooving hoooobbbbyy.
On the other hand everything bad will happen so fast that will never believe it

So fast. I'm currently in the process of rebounding from that.

Take an alternative hobby

. This is what I am doing and time runs faster.
I build WW2 scale models and is quite fun. The only issue is when you have limited budget.... always the question... new airbrush or new pump ?

My first reef tank took forever! I drove my lfs store owner nuts .now I just take gallons of my aged tank water and give people instant reef tank! They don't have to go thru the agony of waiting.

The water doesnt contain much of the bacteria though.

I've been in the hobby since 2003, so been here done that. Still takes forever

Ahh. Yeah. That part does suck but what sucks more was already mentioned. A mini nuke or full nuke of the tank and having to rebuild. I had a spike in nitrates from feeding more for my new anthias and not keeping up with water changes like I should have.
