Gary you won't miss the variable speed. I use the gryphon way better design then the inland. Reservoir is on the bottom and motor is on the top.

Picked this saw up directly from them in Sylmar about 3 months ago: I didn't have the old model but the stainless components are nice and it's super we'll made. The guy at Gryphon claimed its the same exact saw, just stainless components, so yes the normal blades will fit

No doubt this looks like a great saw. I am at the point now where I am ready to buy one. Is this that much better than the Inland Reefkeeper Saw? I had my mind set on that one until I saw this thread. Has anyone used both? How about some honest thoughts? I have some friends that prefer the Inland one...

Soehl, let's just say that we have a lot of Inland users that are switching to Gryphon and not the other way around. That's about as diplomatic as I can be. Hope that helps...
