So I just went out and finally got my first salt water tank (well got the stuff already had the tank)

Just set it all up yesterday got the live sand from a friend and got the live rock from the local pet store

Got a few questions about clown fish I'm going to put in it

1) how many can I put in a 29 gallon
2) what eneimenys can and should I put with them and how many should I put in there
3) what kind of coral can I put in with them
4) what temp should the tank be at I think I set the heater at about 79 or so

That's about it for now if I have any more I'll ask them thanks and here's a pic of it as of now just moved the live rock so it's murky

Welcome. :-)

I would just put a pair of clowns. I keep my heater at 78 so your good.

Once the tank is fully cycled and 4-6 couple months old you could try a Bubble Tip Anemone.

Type of corals and anemones depends on your lighting.

Welcome to r2r!

Like already stated keep only a pair.

As for a anemone, what type of lighting are you using? They require a good bit of light to thrive and be happy.

That sounds like a t8 light. If you want coral and anemone you will need to they a t5ho or led

rose bubble tip is popular but id wait til your tank is 3 months old.

couple clowns would be enough.

looks like your tank is rather newish. let it settle a bit to insure success.

welcome to r2r!

I have 2 clowns, 1 purple fire fish, 1 green chromis, 1 royal gramma and 1 yellow clown goby. That's what I have and it's going great so far since I moved a few days ago. Added the royal gramma and goby 2 days ago. I'm fully stocked I believe or I think I am. Thought I could have any 4 fish, but it's going to take you a while to get to a good max stocking limit.

If you want a clown to use the anemone as a home I would make sure it does already at the fish store. They don't automatically like every anemone... FYI

Thanks for the info everyone and that pic was taken just a day or so after set up I had just moved the rocks around now it's looking better and it's starting to cycle I can't wait to put stuff in it but I know it will be a while befor I can

And I do wanna put some anemones in there and have the clowns in them
