Less then 1W per diode(338 diodes, 300W). Might work for a fuge light, but certainly not for the DT.

Good call. I think I will make an acrylic "platform" and just lay it directly across the fuge section on the sump (this is the perfect size) and if the humidity (or janky manufacturing) kills it, I'm not out much.

For 100$ and money back guarantee.... why not give it a chance and let us know.

Interesting find. I am really skeptical about the longevity of any fanless LED.

I will say, we bought some cheap 300W grow LEDs to start seedlings this year off Amazon ($40 ea), and they were amazing. Well over 1000 PAR at the soil surface. But I specifically searched til I found lights with fans.

Since these are brand new I guess we'll have to wait and see how long they last...

"Sunshine living in the water"

I'm in.

From a cooling perspective, this thing is probably fine. the blackboxes with just the thin aluminum sheet have never been even warm for me when i've disassembled (after 6 hours of running).

Go to the reviews then sort by 1 star. I wouldn't waste my money if I were you.
I briefly considered this one before buying a Mars aqua

Mars aqua and Viparspectra are the 2 most talked about. I personally have a viparspectra and dont have anything bad to say. Onlybreadon I'm not currently using it is I bought jbj Orion that I'm about to sell and probably switch to Hydras or something like. But I'll always keep the viparspectra as a back up.

Sorry I wasnt through in my last response.

the coverage is pretty garbage too. They claim 32"x18". I'd need 4 for my 175? that seems crazy.

I was looking at $2,000 worth of Kessils to cover my 106g. So what’s crazy about that? I just don’t believe some of the reviews are real. I like my Mars Aqua.... that’s my $0.02

That's a pretty dramatic comparison. I'm using 3 "165w" black boxes, so the fact it is higher wattage and lower coverage than black boxes is what I'm commenting on.

Any luck? Was thinking of using them in the coral grow room. 2 50g lowboys , 45g breeder, 100g 6ft. To grow in.

Low boys and 45g I would think would work fine .
Also has uv bulbs and I don’t think my viparspectras do

I use them I have gotten coral growth,my only problem is that the timers reset if the lights reset
