After having my tank set-up for over 6 years, I had to break it down yesterday to get the house ready for sale in the spring .
So I wake up this morning and the house is eerily silent . No humming from the Vortechs ramping up . No water running over the top of my filter sock that should of been changed a couple days ago. No breeze blowing in my hair from the canopy fans. No maxi jet clanking around trying to push water thru a carbon reactor. No crab banging his shell along the glass looking for his morning grub. No streaming of water being dumped into sump from the auto top off .
Not a sound at all. Talk about being bummed out . I will be back once in the new house as I have kept all of my equipment. But until then I will have to go over friends houses to get my fix . I would equate it to losing our family dog. Not quite as emotional as losing the dog but that empty feeling.
Another thing is when I walked into the room where tank was and it was not there, that will take a bit to get used to as well. Every day for six years the tank needed me .
