How you like the Westinghouse battery?
I like it. Got the smallest one they offer. We very rarely lose power here and when we do, it’s USUALLY back on within an hour or two.
I tested it on a full charge and it ran my return pump for about 6 hours and could have gone longer. Just recently got the second one in case we lose power for longer or if I need to also run my heater.

Thanks. I am thinking getting one or Jackery 240 to run my return pump (8/9W) or just power head if needed in case of power loss.

In now use mine as a coral and invert qt tank. It’s so much easier taking care of a larger volume of water. That said here’s my setup
Ai prime 16hd. Uv sterilizer. Skimmer. Sicce 1.0
Nice! What skimmer and UV are you running?

That skimmer works. It does. However with a sicce 1.0 I find that it’s super sensitive to the water level. Now that I run an ai prime. The evaporation is quite significant so it’s really finicky. I now find that I’m struggling to get nutrients. I’m at 2ppm nitrate and .03 pho’s. So really now I don’t even have it on anymore.

Happy Easter and Good Morning my fellow Evo lovers!
@Rickybobby
You‘lol be fine without the skimmer in that tank as long as you’re on some kind of a “regular” schedule with water changes. I had the PS2 also and ditched it after about a month. I was also dealing with low nutrients and when I got rid of the skimmer, they came up to acceptable levels.

Is anyone still using the stock light (particularly with the Nicrew Pro timer)?

I have my Nicrew timer set at 55 brightness on the dimmer, which to the naked eye looks almost fully bright (and not 55% brightness). I am running it from 12 to 7pm and then dimming it to level 3 for an hour, which gives a nice blue hue even with the white channel still turned on.

I'm wondering if this is long enough for my Zoas, Candy Cane and Ricordeas or whether I should be running the white for longer.

Having read the reviews about the Nicrew timer I wasn't expecting much, but having used it I am very happy with it and wouldn't run the stock light without it.

10 hours with the white on?

I might bump the dimmer level up and try a little bit longer. Everything seems ok but I think there is room for improvement. The light isn't on yet and the Ricordeas appear to be reaching a little for it, just based on the room ambient light.

I did have many corals Including sps grow with the stock light. However when I switched to an ai prime 16hd. There was no looking back

One complaint is that I can’t get any good color out of the corals in the stock lighting. For example, my toxic green trumpet is more of a mint green under the tank lights. Whenever compared to my lfs, the corals just don’t show anything...
