Wow how old is this?? Is it difficult to grow? I bought a WD frag and colony form the Yourreef auction. Been wanting them ever since I started my SW tank!

I got it about a year ago and grown out from a tiny frag. For some reason they turn into lots of yellow and pink on me.this is a frag when I first got it” frag in the back”

Don’t have a name for this rainbow tenuis colony, when I got it it was very pale from an AEFW infestation. This pic is after dipping and TLC.

Shoot the picture under blue light only with an orange filter, then Photoshop.

Both colony and frag aren’t very vibrant.

Allow time to adjust to your tank, acclimate to high light(400-500par), take pic with heavy blue LEDs... Yours looks green, so I'd say it needs more light to pull the rainbow colors out.

More time and light. I have frag getting blasted that’s got great color. My other piece around 250 is mostly yellow and green with only blue tips under white lighting. Most pics you see of WD are under heavy blue. This is mine under whites with a iPhone. You can see the new growth looks good. No photoshop or blue light

My WD Tenius were fine then I did a Water Change yesterday and they look like this!

Everything is the same! Even salinity!

Ya sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Alk or temp were likely different with wc water. Or a thousand other possible causes. But if it happened after wc that is the most likely cause to me

I've always heard WD is pretty bullet proof as far as acros go. Pretty heavily aquacultured piece.

Mine has been. Alk issues and all and it's still alive and now growing.
