100g is 75g with rocks so you are limited to a small tang like a bristletooth or tomini otherwise you will eventually end up with ich again and a tank full of dead fish. You need to focus on small colorful fish in a medium size tank
I had a tomini, a yellow, a blue, and a sailfin in that tank, but the yellow brought in ich because I did an observational quarantine for him instead of dosing copper (very dumb of me). If I did the proper quarantine guidelines and I have my UV running, wouldn't i not worry about ich?
They need a 6 foot tank not 4. The stress environment triggered the ich outbreak. UV is useless for the most part but can sometimes help with ich management not eradication. Small tang is ok in a 4 foot. Some people have had success with a yellow in smaller tanks like yours but if you take time to look at your post history and troubles you have had sustaining a successful reef tank then perhaps you will understand the limitations you have with a 4 foot tank. .
I agree with you that stress can cause ich, but I think it was me not quarantining the yellow correctly which got ich into my tank and not as much the stress. They were all small tangs, as the yellow was only about an inch and a half at most.
I am one of those that believes ich is in every tank to some degree albeit in a dormant state. However major stresses can cause fish immune systems to weaken thus allowing ich to gain a foothold. This is why we still see properly QT tangs develop ich when they are introduced to a new tank. Often the stress of an undersized environment is a contributing factor. The community fish in the tank then become collateral damage.
So they say I'm just not convinced it ever leaves the tank completely. But healthy happy fish with strong immune systems can keep it at bay.
I did not have a good experience with White Tail and Diamond Goby together. The tang took out 3 Diamond gobies. I did some research and found that there’s some incompatibility there.

Not in a 100g. I kept myself to one in my old 90. But I'm conservative along these lines. If you decided on multiple, I'd go no more than two of the smaller variety.
I would get an ora Yellow instead of a blue for that size tank.
If tour talking a hippo tang, then I'd advise against it. They get too big for a 100g. They get big and need a longer swim lane. I personally wouldn't put on in less than a 180g.
You have already received multiple replies telling you only small tangs in a small tank. Tomini and maybe a bristletooth may work. Sometimes ora yellows stay small at 5 inches and may be ok to but I personally would not put one of those in an undersized tank.
