Hey guys, I'm setting up a pico tank after a fews years of being out of the hobby. I wanted to hear thoughts on stocking this tank.
The current setup is a marineland 5 gallon "tall" rimless tank with a "sump" built into the back so total water volume is about 4.5 gallons with rock in the tank.
I've got just over 6 pounds of live rock in the tank and I'm currently cycling. The lighting is one AI Prime (original not HD). It's running 8 hours per day with a 2 hour ramp time to 60% max power (this varies depending on color, blues are set the highest) but that can be adjusted depending on what eventually goes in. I want to run this system with 0 added filtration only live rock and water changes. I've also got a Hydor 240 in the display for added flow to go along with the stock return pump.
I want to stock it with things that will get my 5 year old daughters attention and something she will enjoy also so faster growing corals are a plus but not xenias or star polyps!
Let me know what you guys think.
