I'm sure yours is fine! Mine has its own flaws, I have a good amount of Bryopsis I can't seem to get rid of even with 0 phosphates and 0 nitrates. I can't seem to get Zoas or Paly's to grow very well either!
Hi Drew, I currently have 3 fish, a tail spot blenny and 2 black ice clown fish. I'm thinking of picking up a pair of Neon Gobies too. I have my MP10 up high because I want it to blow across my Acropora corals and not into the side of my rocks. I have it set to reef crest *I think*, It slowly builds up in intensity to 90% of max and then backs back down. Is it the best setting? I dunno just makes my torch coral sway in a cool way. I really let the corals dictate what setting I had it on, any higher than 90% and my Acroporas seemed to get upset and not extend their polyps as much so I slowly backed it down until they grew happy. Lower than 60% and the flow didn't seem to gyre around the tank enough to cause the frogspawn under the powerhead to move in a current. It just came down to trial and error. I'll look at which setting it is on tonight and PM you.
Thanks for the compliments. My previous tank was an absolute disaster and I'm pretty happy with how this tank is turning out. Don't give up, a great tank can be achieved with minimal effort. I do maybe 5 minutes of work on the tank each day and that really comes down to a visual inspection of my equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. I also do a visual inspection of my glass to see if any algae has started to grow on it, and if it has I switch out my GFO and Carbon in my media reactor. Then once every 3 weeks I do a 20% water change.
