I would not run them past 50% but then again there is no way to really tell until you get a par reading for the tank.
I'm really green at this what would you do something like blues for 10 hours at 50% and white at 20% for like 5 hours I'm not sure on light

I am definitely looking forward to seeing the results of this! My 75g needs an upgrade, but the concept of spending 1-2 weeks pay on lights is terrifying.

go with the Noopschye. 3 of them would be good for you tank and 3 lights cost as much as 1 radion. i think they are just as good. I am happy with mine and actually feel they are better then the Radion pro I was using.

Would one be more than enough for a mixed reef in a reefer 170?

Two noopsyche would do a 75 easily. Even with light loving corals.

A third one would be shadowed by the center brace if it's a standard 75.

Yup. The 18x18 is the nano. The 170 is 24x20x20

I would start with one. My guess is, unless you had literally wall to wall SPS, that one would do it.

oops.
i looked at the wrong part of the chart.
you could probably do 1 over a tank that size still. they do put out alot of par. with my settings of 75% blues and 12% white/red/green I am getting like 500+ right at top of water surface.

How many k7’s would be recommended for a C-Vue 40? 36x13x14 viewing area.

I would say two.

The depth and width would be fine with one. The problem is the length.

I see that Noopsyche recommends 3 lights for an LPS dominant 4' 120G and 6 units for an SPS tank. Based on the PAR chart in this study, 6 seems like overkill. 3 on a 4' tank is tough because of the centre brace. For those of you with the lights, what are your thoughts on using only 2 lights on a mostly LPS/Softy 120? The few SPS that I have are high in the rockwork and would be under the lights.

Has anyone measured the actual power consumption and how does it compare to the listed 95W?
