Hey folks. Since moving to my present home my 75g been set up sumpless with an HOB skimmer. I'm now thinking i want to use a sump, so i been looking around for one i like and can fit through the doors on my stand. Here's one i found, you all think it should do the trick?

The sump is 24x12x16. Will your skimmer fit in a compartment 7"x11"? Will you be able to keep the water in the skimmer compartment the right depth? Will your return section run dry before it overflows your tank? Will your return pump fit in the return section? These are the questions you should figure out before you buy it.

I have a 75 gal. that I switched to an overflow with sump. I partially drained the tank, braced the front and took the brace off between the doors. Slipped the 32 gal. sump in that I made to the specifications I needed for about $50. Then reinstalled the middle brace. I use a CPR102 overflow and a Mag 7 pump. I have a Mag 9.5 for it, but never changed it, the 7 is sufficient. That tank has been running like that for three years now without a single mishap. And we turn off all pumps at least twice a day for feeding.
