The start of Bryopsis..

So my tank has been doing pretty good. I seem to have gotten a handle on the gha problem I was having and had very little algae for a few weeks.

Recently I saw a few strands pop up and watched them over the past week or so and just recently started noticing the "fern" look starting.

I just want to ask when I should start doing more than just trying to pull it out. Ive heard horror stories and dealt with a little in my old tank. I have a bottle of flucon just didnt know if i wanted to start it right away and treat it before it becomes an issue or wait it out a little longer and see if it passes.

I dont have params right now. Ive been so busy havent gotten a chance to test in the past 2 weeks. I can get them tonight. But about 2 weeks ago nitrates were about 2 and p04 was showing 0 on red sea kits.

So wait it out and manually pull or jump right into flucon before it gets out of hand?

My experience bwoth fluconazole is that it produces results and doesn't have any perceivable side effects, other than reducing the competition of another nuisance algae if nutrients are not kept in check.

I would use the fluconazole for now, but keep a close eye on parameters and keep a lookout for other nuisance algaes.
