After having issues with my reefer 250 continuing to decline, the 3 day power outage while i was away for military training and being gone for 3 weeks with numerous losses i decided to set up a different tank, move the remaining inhabitants over and restart the 250.
This thread will be for the temporary tank as i like to call it but as we all know it may not stay temporary. I might keep it running as is if all stays going well and set up the 250 differently. But thats for another time, on to the specs!
Red sea max c-130
Stock return pump
GHL Mitras LX7
MP-10 wes
Intank media basket (empty, rox.8 carbon, empty)
Hydor autofill ato and toms aqualifter (will switch out for my tunze nano soon)
neotherm 150 watt heater
Tunze 9001 (not running, missing the magnet and i havent bought one yet. Tank looks really good though so i may leave it off)
Currently i am using red sea coral pro salt, when i started the tank i used 100% new water with this salt and just moved everything over over the course of 3 days.
I dont test anything but salinity in this tank but alk should be between 10dkh and 12dkh, cal should be around 450ppm, mag around 1350. These are about where my bucket mixes to, i dont dose anything either. Saddly enough, most of my coral have never looked better. No clue what no3 or po4 is.
I do a waterchange every week or every other week if im busy, typically around 7-10 gallons. give or take.
On with the photos!!
