One of the things I love about reef photography is what I can see during post processing. When I'm correcting color temp I always zoom in and check out what's happening up close.
Took this shot tonight

When you zoom in on the polyps there's very cool pattern going on.

I love the magnifying glass function in lightroom.

Awesome pictures.
As an idiot photographer ( myself ), if I may ask. When you say color correction, are you correcting to make certain colors pop out or are you trying to make the picture as true to life as possible?

when I am talking about color correction I'm using the "color temperature" setting in Lightroom to correct for the blue tint from LED lights. So really trying to make them true to my naked eye, not "pop" any more than they do for real ;). I do shoot under blue lighting which tends to make colors pop anyway.

By the way, I also consider myself an idiot photographer so welcome to the club.:)

The artist in me is in absolute love with these photos.

Very cool photos! That banana boom with fan is double awesome! What are you using to take pics? Sorry if I missed it

Canon T6i with 100mm macro lens. Thanks for the compliments, I just posted another post in this forum using that banana boom with fan subject. I liked it too.

I took this with my Samsung S7.
