So when I was researching to get started in this hobby, I binged on a lot of videos and this forum.

There were many moments when I was like..."that I will not do".."that will not be me."

I'll start...

Seeing all the chemicals for dosing and fish food choices and crazy assortment of stuff including test kits needed. I thought, I am not doing that ever....yeah well I am. I have a huge collection of stuff that I try to hide and it keeps growing.

LOL, I can't count the number of things when I first got addicted that I said "I'll never get to that point". WRONG! My original intention was a nice looking mixed reef tank - now it's two tanks, controllers, cameras, auto feeders, ATOs special feedings for anemones & the list grows...

When I first started, I thought I would never buy name brand anything. ;Hilarious ;Hilarious ;Hilarious I have since realized how not only naive, but foolish that decision would be. Invest in quality equipment, y'all!

I'll never dose; I'll just get by on weekly water changes. II'll never be able to keep acros. I'll never have a quarantine tank ... Yeah sure.

Sps. I never thought I would keep sps corals. When I first started I wanted soft corals and maybe a few lps with fish and live rock and that was it.

My sig over on RC is ....got back into the hobby ... planned to keep it simple .... yeah, right ... clearly I need a new plan ....

Nothing really to be honest... I make such slow changes to my tank that I guess I haven't had time to "reverse" course yet.

Maybe if I ever do bare bottom that'd count as a reversal...

Told myself a 300 gallon would be my dream tank. Now ive more than doubled that and wish I had gotten bigger (like a 1200 gallon )

Yeah, at first I said there was no way I'd go big...then I got a 180-gallon reef! Haha!

Stony corals. Especially SPS.
When I first got my 75, I planned to go easy softies, then turn the tank into a cuttlefish tank. Then, I fell in love with micro lords and decided to do easy LPS and softies. That was the plan until I fell in love with chalice. So I got a chalice. Later, in August I got obsessed with looking at RFA’s and got one of them(looking to get more later)and THEN in September, I decided I had to have a clam. Sadly, the squamosa clam I got died(curse you DD) and I eventually got an Acropora. That leaves me to where I am now, searching for the right centerpiece coral for my tank.

I'll never buy an expensive coral.

I'll never put fake plastic decorations in the tank.

I'll never get a RFA they are ugly.

I can get buy with API test kits I don't need the expensive ones.

I'll never skip quarantining a fish.

I'll buy what I want the first time around so I don't have to upgrade.

On my case it was , I will never start another DSB
