The Ultimate Sump Thread - Pics

Care to share a pic of your sump setup? I'm looking to turn mine (750xxl) into a refugium and looking for ideas but would love to see what other's have done. Thanks

Basically I have two return pumps, skimmer, 25 watt UV, 7 gallon ato, 4 apex probes, dosing lines, a powerhead, two finnex titanium heaters and 4 octo cups with polyfil floss and carbon. Will be adding a kessil and macroalgae in a few days.

And I meant "Ultimate" as just a place for everyone to post pics of their sumps. Any and all sumps welcome! It would be awesome for other members to get some great ideas! I know alot of us put lots of time and effort into setting them up only to be hidden in a stand below the tank. After all, this is the heart of the system.

I have chaeto and caulerpa in the fuge chamber. Chemipure elite & blue in the baffle. Marinepure spheres on the bottom of the fuge.

Idk about “ultimate” but here’s my sump under my RSR 525xl that I converted from metric to standard.

My double stack 75gal with a DIY sump. Fuge, skimmer/filtration chamber, and return chamber. For filtration there is a 40w Pantair UV, BRS media reactor off the manifold. Between the skimmer and return chamber is an eggcrate tray with filter floss.

Nothing fancy but does the job. 40 breader with Billy Pipes DIY baffles and light guards. Marine Pure bricks and balls. Chaeto in the fuge, and Nyos 160.

I drilled a 16g cube and setup as refuge. Now it's a frag tank and I have a scrubber.

I forgot to add that I can shutoff recirc to the cube and use to quarantine.
