The Undecided Reef

Nice, nice, nice. My fav of the three is the Nasuta.

Hopefully you find this slightly amusing. I've been viewing the forum on my phone up until today, and I kept thinking how odd it was that no one had links to their current tanks, or the fact that there weren't any signatures anywhere. I'm all for doing away with the large obnoxious picture signatures, but none had me baffled as I typically go check out other peoples threads if they comment on mine. Today I fired up the forum on my laptop and lo and behold signatures with links. chock that up to a newb mistake. So here I am!

I partially read/skimmed through all 15 pages this afternoon and I really like your tank! everything looks awesome. My previous tank was an IM 38, and I absolutely detested the thing. Partially because I think I missed having a sump. I'm glad to see you're having much better success than I ever did with mine. Can I vie for a closer FTS?

Ha .. I notice that too . Sorry I am long winded .. didn't mean to bore u ..
It's had it's fair share of glitches but it's all I can manage now health wise .I am partially upset with IM and their false advertisement of the tank . It certainly is not 40 gallons . It really holds 33 and the same holds true for the IM 10 . Way off on capacity . I need a good class action suit lawyer ... JK ... I hate the scape and want to rip it all apart .The new TCK additions are too touchy atm so that's a no go.Shoot me an email addy via pm or better smart phone number for a FTS ..
I don't have the right camera yet or the skills but I'll try .

I should be able to get a decent scape out the rock in the tank and this stuff I have been cooking for months now .
I keep the bio balls in here and swap them out with the Fusion 40 when they get dirty .

You weren't long winded at all! I think i'm just prone to skim reading things. :P My problems with IM stemmed from the poor flow even with an upgraded pump, the display dimensions are not what I would consider conducive for a nano reef, or perhaps its my personal preference to have a longer shallow tank. I cant say that I ever actually calculated the gallon rating on mine though that wouldn't surprise me one bit. My wife has the IM 30 in her classroom, to which she will swap out my old IM38, you using your IM10 for a frag tank had me thinking that it may have its uses yet. I wasn't sure what to do with it after we broke it down.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for your scape after things settle down a bit.

A couple of friendly tips on posting on the forum with a smart phone, I use two apps to be able to edit and then post images on the forums. Photoshop express for editing, they save automatically to my phone after the edits, then I upload them to photobucket via their app. Then posting clean edited images to the forum is really easy, you simply click the 'img' link in photobucket and add it to your post. No tedious uploading. I think I still have your email from our previous conversation about the LC and dry rock. I'll shoot you a response.

I have had a few cubes and they come out alright once they fill in..

I loves this dude's work ... I want to use this for inspiration .

Did a re-scape since there were no takers on my leftover live rock .
I have been helping Ecu reefer with his build so that's where my reef time has been devoted to .
Got in a JB Rw-4 today . My MP40 driver died . I am waiting on some spare parts to get it back up to speed.
The tunze 6055 n 7901 from Ecureefer was returned today too..
The controller was able to mount to a ledge we left on the stand frame. The door closes just fine with it .
Excuse the mess . I am not working on wire mgt until I get the controller I have been waiting on .
Finally the dkh is down to 8..

The mess ..
I still need to tap out n choose a sturdier bucket for the ato container . I didn't like using a 10 gallon tank .

Yea that guy is amazing with his reefscape.. I watched two videos on him once and he has vision on where the rock goes.

Unfortunately it looks like the Great Wall of China ATM so it will be a bit before I post it ..
I might post a pic I took from the kitchen but kinda meh about it .
Going thru the 10 year woes of appliances failing in the home .. the newest one is the fridge . Can't complain though it lasted 12 years.
Had to chuck all my frozen coral/fish food this morning. Man Larry's Reef Food stinks something awful . It smelled, when it was frozen but the thawed bag I chunked was horrible . Going to get the ole college fridge up until the new one comes in Thurs morning .

Oh geez, that's a bummer. When a fridge fails that's the worst.

I'm sure you'll get the scape right eventually! I always try to remind my self once the tank matures and things grow out I won't be able to see much of the scape at all. Lol keeps me semi sane in that department.

Yes it is ...
I will get it right .. in time . Flickr is acting up so no pic to post . PHEW >>>
Hmm ... Food processor , blender , caphalon cook ware , BA subwoofer , MB TV , silverware , grill ,pressure washer ,washing machine , hot water heater , the toilet flush thingies n seals on 2 bathrooms , n let's not get started on my tuner cd5 DD (it was sitting for 4 years ).. Ha Ha .. When it rains it pours .. n indeed it has been doing that lately and I pray all those who were affected in SC n other areas will be okay ..
The sun is shining and the birds are chirping ...maybe the storms are over with ..

I think it's going to look great once it's all grown out!

Thanks for the encouragement . It is amazing how much crap the back aio collects . I siphon it out pretty frequently . Like this morning ..
I think leaving it be would be a disaster waiting to happen .
