@robbygThat's going to be one expensive fish to keep.
Your going to need a dedicated cold water aquarium to keep him in.
Your best bet for finding one is to contact some Diving clubs in California and see if you can hookup via email with a Diver who has seen the fish. Maybe a nice high fee will entice him to keep looking out for the one. If the contact is solid your going to have to send him the needed stuff to package it and ship it to you. Not easy considering the water is going to have to be kept extra cool during shipping.

There’s not a ton of info out there about these that I can find but there’s other California species (garibaldi, Horn shark) that are showing acceptable temps from 65 to 75 depending on season.What temperature does it need ,, my Aquarium is 73 degrees all the time, or does it need colder
