Here's a side-shot of the back of the tank. The pinkies have inhabited the Branching GSP forest that's growing wild back there:

They go in and out of the little tunnel system that's grown between the branches. Seems like an ideal environment for them. That's also where the Halichoeres chrysus sleeps, and they all seem to be getting along well.

That's not for me. I know I said in my first post of my build thread that I would fill my 40g with ~10 tangs, but it turns out... Tangs are not intelligent fish, so to avoid feelings of inadequacy, I'm saying no tangs in my 40g with all those brilliant wrasses (and a genius blenny).

No, I have a local guy that does QT about 30 min away. Worth it for me since my tanks are in the office and less maintenance is better. I was getting fish shipped from Dr. Reef (and recommend him), but I'm feeling more like driving the wrasses rather than having them shipped.

Oh, he's got two choatis that just started QT! They're still nocturnal, but hopefully he'll get them on schedule and eating!

1 Question I didn't ask. just saw they had a female I have been looking for and small, she came in about 1.5 - 2 inches. Hid the first couple of days then found body over flow. My Cirrhilabrus balteatus & Cirrhilabrus brunneus Both came frozen them and very similar size and adapted very quickly.

So I just discovered that the Pink-Streaked Wrasse is not allowed in Brazil :,(
There is a list o fish that are allowed to import, and another list of forbidden. The Pink-Streaked does not appear on both lists…
That’s so sad… And the Yellow Banded Possum Wrasse is hard to find, also when there is one available, very expensive
 
I have a couple more questions about pink streaked wrasse grouping.

Do these grouping attempts tend to have a high instance of failure? As in groups of 3-5 in a 40-50 gallon tank?
I don't know the ideal tank size for a group of 3-5 individuals, but the larger the tank is always better.

If the groups tend to fail in the short term I won't attempt it, but if the failures are usually in the long term, I might see if I could separate them once issues arise when the females begin to transition.
