Too cute!!
Another favorite one I really want to try someday.

Hi all,

in this wrasse list bellow, which one can be put together in a 120G reef? I'm thinking on adding them together to mitigate aggression. Maybe I could put 4 or 3 of them. This list is from my LFS. I'm planning to buy 3 or 4 of them as stated. I already have my tank cover.

Lubbock Wrasse
Yellow coris wrasse
Ruby Head Fairy wrasse
Six line wrasse
Green coris wrasse
Solorenses wrasse

Current stock: one powder blue, one gramma and 4 ocellaris.

Thanks in advance!

I have 11 wrasse in a similar sized tank but you did have some wrasse that do not mix well. Cut the sixline and the jade.

I suggest some flasher wrasse some peaceful fairies. A leopard, maybe a tamarin. Possum or a pink streak. And/or a captive bred cleaner.

Here are the fairies I suggest:

I have tried previously to have a Carpenter wrasse and they are very shy fish, they've stayed hiding for days before going out and eat. My last one just came out when I put frozen food.
Do you recommend to put more than one flasher together to motivate them to get out and swim?

I suggest an acclimation box or adding early. I wouldn’t add multiple of the same species but adding another one or two of a different species of flasher will encourage the wrasse to display.

But those 4 would be ok?

There are 2 of the cyanopleura complex.

Sorry they are:
C. Lubbock
C. cyanopleura (ruby)
C. solorensis
H. chrysus
True. I wouldn’t get two cyanopleura. The more variety the lower the chance of aggression and those are of the more aggressive species.
Also I’m guessing it’s a
C chaliasi and C aquamarinus

How big is the display?

Your six line may have turned.
Maybe but if so I haven't seen it. I have other aggressive fish but they just seem to bother each other, I don't see any directed toward wrasses except the cleaner wrasse getting shooed away.

It's 230 gallons.

Thank you! She’s a great wrasse, she ignores my other wrasses and just patrols the live rock all day. She does need to be fed frequently, but despite the frequent feedings she’s a slow grower, after 2 years she’s only grown an inch.
Thats great to hear! I love how they look, but couldn't find much about them. Feeding is no issue lol!

Is the china wrasse a safe addition with an established melanarus and a few other non aggressive fairy and flasher wrasses?
The established melanurus may pose a problem. I recommend using an acclimation box to introduce the anampses. I also recommend feeding the anampses in the acclimation box before you feed the rest of the tank, it will force the other wrasses to see the anampses and get used to it during feeding time when aggression is most likely to happen.

Looks like you identified them all correctly. The adorned looks like it has a little mouth damage probably from rubbing against the bag trying to bury itself during shipping. Also it could just be the angle in the bag, but it looks like it has a bulge above the anal fin? Keep an eye on it.

1. Possibly a Cosmetus but could be a Melanurus female, hard to see through the bag.
2. Exquisitus for definite
3. That is one strange Flasher but isn’t a Blue (Cyaneus), more likely from the Mccoskeri complex.
4. Definitely a brunneus
5. Possibly a brunneus but could be a stressed teminickii
