I love me some wrasse's, so I want to see everyone's wrasse pictures! Please share!

I've been practicing my fish taking.. Snapped a decent one of my Naoko Wrasse, still need to polish up on my skills though!

Dang. You guys who posted have some really beautiful fish.

As promised, some photos and a list of my new wrasses.
male blue-spot pencil wrasse (Leptojulis cyanopleura) i initially wasn't interested in pencils but a shop offered me this one for $35 so i thought why not. It looked pretty plain in the videos they sent me of it but in person it's very pretty.

A 15cm Anampses lennardi. Before receiving this i would've said that A.femininus is the prettiest Anampses, but i think i have to take that back.

a 6cm Anampses twistii. This one is the exact same size as my neoguinacus. So far the new guinea doesn't seem too happy about the new wrasse but it's more slow, occasional chasing instead of actual aggression.

A 6cm Cryptic wrasse (Pteragogus turdus). This is a very shy wrasse, The corner it's in in the photos, it has not moved from in about 48 hours. This is because the gunthers chases it relentlessy if it moves. It didn't have the same reaction to the lennardi or the twistii. Hopefully he leaves him alone sooner or later.

And then the murderous bird wrasse.

The other fish is a small painted sweetlip.

Hello everyone,
I’ve got a 110 gallon tank currently it’s got the following:
pair of clownfish
Juvenile melanurus wrasse
Juvenile halfback mimic tang
juvenile Red Fin Fairy wrasse

The fairy wrasse was just added 24 hours ago and I’ve not observed any bullying but the fairy wrasse doesn’t seem to have full range of the tank under the watchful eye of the melanurus. Would introducing another fish distract the melanurus wrasse? Or should I just wait it out

Thanks

You could wait it out, introducing new fish will distract him (although it will likely have to be more wrasses).

Second day in a row the splendid pencil decided to come out during the day. This time I was ready and got half a cube of frozen mysis ready. It ate!

I have a lot of reading to do, I just set up a 300g reef tank and I want to add an assortment of wrasses that will get along and not decimate my clean up crew and shrimp. Lots of options on here so I’m going to have to figure out a stocking list. I have a yellow Coris as a start. I was focusing on my tang gang to start so now it’s time for the wrasses.

Looks exciting . First lesson. It’s not a coris. It is a halichoeres. C chrysus or yellow wrasse. Back to the tank. What other wrasses are you most interested in?

Fixed it for you

I received this stunning fish today, look at that iridescent blue and those streamers! So i thought i'd make it a little ID challenge. It's obviously a terminal phase Thalassoma. But which species? I want scientific names, not just common names!

Thank you for correcting me, I have kept reef ta is for more than 30 years but wrasses were never something I focused on especially the last 15 years or so as all my tanks have been bare bottomed and snaller (I know not all wrasses like sand but I just really didn’t focus much on fish)

The list below is what I have identified as potential options

Naoko wrasse

Red velvet fairy wrasse

Red headed Solon wrasse

Halicores wrasses
Sharp nose (possum) wrasse

Keep building your list. Then the group here can help with compatibility and addition order. For instance the naoko can be aggressive towards some wrasses. Mine gets picked on by my babi (thought to be mild mannered) due to the size of the babi. The velvet can be quite aggressive but you have a huge tank which may make this less of a concern.

So in my searches it seems I may actually have a Halichoeres leucoxanthus as mine has a white belly

Looks like a Thalassoma hebraicum, though I'm not the best with Thalassoma.
