Would a Pseudocheilinops ataenia have any issues with a Wetmorella? They have a different genus, but look very similar to me.

Cool thanks! Just brainstorming. Another question... Would I just be asking for problems by putting a brunneus with an isosceles in a 40 breeder? I'm not sure if wrasses of the same complex is just a complete no-no or possible. Tank size in consideration too.

Your tank is too small man, you need to calm down, imo. That being said my brunneus had no problems with my pintails despite him dying from a spinal injury.

I figured. I've had my eyes on a 80 breeder that my buddy has. Very cool tank, the price is right, just gotta convince the wife....... My pintail has a little aggression against the social, whom I've been trying to trap and remove the past 2 days. Besides that everyone is chill as a cucumber. I mainly was curious of the same complexes being together. Probably hit or miss?

My wrasse only 40b today. Stays pretty relaxed like this, with the occasional C. isosceles chasing the C. rubriventralis. The C. rubriventralis is out when I catch it. The aggression isn't terrible, not fin nips, but I don't like it.

Depends on complex space and size, also my ruby head is 6", that wrasse maybe be too big for your 40b eventually. Back in my 40b days I had three flashers and it was crowded. Also go bigger than 80, you are going to need more room if you continue down this path lol.

I'll keep it all in mind. That ruby head has easily become a favorite of mine too.

Thanks! I think so too.

I did manage to catch the social fairy today. He was a great fish, my pintail just didn't like him. I'm probably gonna end up removing the ruby head as well as @Jstn suggested because of adult size. He's fine until then though. The plan is to have 4 really nice "smaller" wrasses in the 40B. Definitely keeping C. isosceles, M. melagris @ W. nigropinnata. Not 100% on the final wrasse. Probably a smaller fairy or pink-streaked. Does this sound like a decent plan for my 40B @wrasse pros?

Might consider a flasher or two, blue flasher is pretty sweet.

I feel that a flasher will do just fine in the space of a 40.

Agree; it's a good size for them.
I just like to see them in a tank at least 3' long.

The meleagris may be an issue in the long run with the tank size, but the rest of the plan sound suitable.

In my old 40b I had three flashers and they did really well, infant thinking of adding a blue to my tank, I am going to assume they do well with fairies. Also it seems the lunatis family (pintails ect) seem to stay smaller and I haven't not seen much aggression out of them, I have two pintail males over a year and they seem to be buds.

Especially if he goes male, the male melagris moves alot and gets much bigger than the female IME.

Thinking of adding a male lineatus. Got A 150 tank with Naoko Shark fin. Yellow coris wrasse. 2 Pintail wrasse. 2 Flame wrasse. China pearl wrasse
Golden rhomboid. Nahacky fairy wrasse and a earlie wrasse. Thoughts???
