One thing I would say - Just from seeing the same anampses neoguinaicus in my LFS is how the harder to keep wrasse are also the slowest growers - My fairies have grown 1-3” in size in the 16-2 months I’ve had them same with my halichoeres

my two Lubbock’s are colouring up more often now which I’m happy about - The indo got an electric blue on the top where he’s usually a deep purple

There’s some really nice wrasse in there, I see 2 flashers with 3 fairies, strange that the pintail was the aggressor - I always thought of them as peaceful, well I guess they are peaceful compared to stories about Scott’s wrasse aggression

Yep, there's a McCosker's Flasher, a Blue Flasher, and a Golden Rhomboidalis along with the Pintail and Exquisite

I think the issue is that the Pintail was literally the biggest fish in the tank with no one remotely close enough to pose any challenge before the Exquisite came, so he took offense to having a potential challenger. My Rhomboidalis is still a baby by comparison. It was crazy to see him switch like that though, as beforehand he had always been very timid and lurked mostly in the back of the tank. Now he's out all the time because he has to make sure no one questions his spot as king of the tank!

That makes sense - My Jade wrasse is definitely the biggest wrasse in my tank, she’s at Atleast 3.5-4” whilst the Scott’s is around 3-3.5”. I would love a flasher (Specifically a Filamentosus or Royal/Angular) The Scott’s was the second out of the 3 fairies to go in and didn’t bother the info lubbocki Eventhough he was at 8 odd months of being established - Maybe the Cebu Lubbock already being in there had something to do with it? Even when he’s territorial it’s still not displaying completely, I’m just glad he kept the red in his fins

I just found a very bad image of my Cebu lubbocki when he went into my tank so I thought I’d send a before he went through the 1 year in my tank - I got him in September 2020 which was a big shock to me
You can also see the Jade wrasse’s face which I got in

The blue in his anal fin has spread a lot more and now it’s darkened a ton
Here’s the Iridis before she came home, 9 days before the Lubbock - 4th September 2020 (Please excuse the bad images, wrasse are a pain to get pictures of quickly since these two were so skittish)

What’s wrong with my wrasse? It has been in the tank almost 2 years now. No new addition to the tank recently.
It is swimming facing downward and the top fin doesn’t flash anymore.

I noticed in the video it isn't using it's tail to swim. If this is all the time now, that would suggest a spinal injury. There is a small chance for some fish to recover from a minor spinal injury, but not many do. I'm sorry if this is the case.

Maybe tried to jump out and hit a lid? I’ve heard of that causing injuries to wrasse before

As stated above, jumping, also being chased and colliding with solid objects like glass walls of tank or rockwork.

Ugh, my collection looks basic compared to all of your collections. At this point I’m only proud of the naoko, two lubbocki males, Radiant and leopard the Jade and Scott’s are dull looking in comparison to things like P. attenuatus
Hang on- is that a vivienae leopard? At first glance it looked like a kuiters leopard or earmuff wrasse

Great collection. Radiants are stunners and any leopard is awesome. I have a huge week spot on leopards.

You have some of my dream wrasse there, one is the pintail and the other is the half banded. I also want an attenuated flasher but with the Scott’s I would rather wait till I get to do another load of wrasse.
I get that would be 5-7 years however, it’s worth it!

Pintail is one of my favorites. I didn’t even dream about some of the wrasse I have as they was out of my reach. Then after searching and begging I found a qt potters that ate and lfs TSM corals got the rest and I couldn’t say no as they was qt’ed and ate. Luck and push from friends.

What is it that makes Choati leopards so hard again? Is it their mortality rate or feeding times?
I’d love to try one in a few years if I can keep this BSLW alive for a long period of time and not like 3 months, I mean like 2-3 years at the least

They're very difficult to adapt to captivity and have low survival rates. They're also very delicate shippers. It seems like the majority of people can only keep them alive under a year before they perish.
