Umm I've been on these boards and this specific thread since 2018. So that entire time. LOL

I don't have to look up quite so many anymore, but I still prefer the common names as thats what you see in the LFS's around here. Only problem with common names, whats common in NY, maybe a different common name in say Texas.

I have to laugh at this babi. It’s timid and like a tiny minnow like @Crabby48 said. They were both out together during feeding. The babi swims up to the choat, who is 4 times her mass, and rips a piece of mysis right out of the choat’s mouth.

But you do have them. Vivien being my top fish that can be collected now. I can’t believe pali stole food from choats. My leopards are the thieves.

Ya. Vivien has been in the sandbed since i dosed the DT with prazi on Sunday. I have lost 6 anthias, tomini tang over the past 2 weeks that have been with me for 2 years. CBB also passed. Hoping the vivien makes it. A total sh#t storm mystery.

They aren’t imaginary come now I actually know where to get them at least, plus I only have on the list 2 hard to get expensive ones the others are more common or found time to time but more frequently by special order, I still have normal ones like iridis and rhomboidalis on the list yk. Imaginary……we’ll see when it becomes a reality

Speaking about becoming reality.…..whipping out the old 20g long Qt…….time to quarantine something… need to get a plastic Tupperware out and fill it with sand too so it’s comfortable for them

Went to the LFS to get a couple wrasse.

But only ended up with one.

I want a dragon wrasse but one at the same life stage and size as my Gaimard

Dragon wrasses are cool when juvi's, but get big, ugly, mean, love to move your rcock work around, and eat a ton of inverts as adults.

Not a fish I would add to a reef again. FOWLR, sure, but not a reef.

Yeah they definitely are far prettier as juveniles. But for some crazy reason I love the psychoatic eyes and lack of color of the adults. I guess I want my scary predators to look like scary predators. Since I already have the coris my rocks were going to be tested anyway and I felt i need big wrasse to go with it anyway.
