The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

I’ll go against the others and say 40 probably small for a flasher. I find they like room. Specially taller tanks. Also a bit small for a red line. Could be done bit fish may not be as happy.
I didn’t realise it was a 40, I agree with this though.

Get a possum wrasse. They are very colorful and will do well in the 40b. Pink streak is another option. Look for a larger used tank and upgrade. You can find complete setups for great prices. You know you want to.

Back to wrasses. My Vivien is in the overflow. Fourth wrasse that has learned to do this. Just when I'm leaving town for a few days. Figures.

Look at what one of the shop’s I deal with got in today. Hmmmmmmm

That is why I told him to hold that one.
I’d probably say that guy could go under the term “Super male” as he truly is unique and has some amazing colours!

Without Potters and Melagris I really miss leopard print. I need to fill a spot and would grab something else but it needs to be something really unique
I think about male black leopard but not sure if I want to risk a male with male choats
Any recommendations?

Also one of my favorite I have been looking for months I’m so excited that I may clear the Qt tonight when I get home from work just so I can pick them up tomorrow. The shop also found some Lamark Angel that I also had them looking for.
How big is the male

I’d say a Blue star leopard but it’s more of a common. Hmm… Halichoeres lapillus is a beautiful species so maybe you could try find one of them?

Put my Timor Wrasse in Tuesday afternoon, wife sent me these pics yesterday afternoon. He since has gone back down and still yet to see him

I would not introduce any risk to those choati no matter what.

Great choice and they are unique. I been holding out on them for 2 years. My plan was choats or lapillus was my backup. They are everywhere lately around me.
I do love female blue stars but not as male.

Definitely - My LFS has a trio of lapillus and a pair of Vivienne’s and I’ve really got to say the reds on the Lapillus are beautiful.
I completely agree with you on the Blue Stars as males though, they don’t look as nice and I hope my female remains female for the whole time I own her (Even if I end up having other species of leopards or similar species to them with her).
