The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

This is the hardest part with these Juvs. I wish I could label these right every time, but it's really hard/almost impossible to tell. I don't think anyone buying a McCoskers would be super upset getting one of these guys instead. (We are not promoting mis-ID'ing Fish for sales)
Trust me, I got my Rubricaudalis pair because the exporter mis-Id’d them for Mccoskeri. Arguably I got the better option.

I always find my rhomboid sleeping by pintail and I’m not sure why. There is plenty of space/places to sleep, and the rhomboid is the only one in the tank chases/tough talks pintail at all. And rhomboid is the last to go to sleep every night.

So he must decide it’s time to sleep and go find wheee pintail is to join close by. This happens often, and I find them in different places, but I happened to get a decent photo last night.

Rawr!
Earl wants hugs.
1000035841.jpg
He wants to show you he the big tough guy!
That Earl has some personality!
Haven’t seen one that doesn’t. They like to interact with people. Or should I say they have the ability to easily.
He sure does!
He swims over to my bed every day to say good morning and goodnight.
He refuses to eat pellets that touch the ground, so you can only feed him 1 or 2 at a time and prefers to eat directly from the tongs, rather than things that float around and might have possibly touched the ground.
*spoiled fish alert*
My fish aren’t bottom feeders and eat from my hand /tongs.
Do you eat off the floor? Nevermind don’t answer that.
He needs more flow and he may have more fun. It’s a small tank and hard to be zippy. Think I left a tiny power head. Just a thought.
By the way most likely he will be staying longer then a month if his new friend arrives alive

I ended up rehoming my flasher wrasses, as even without any signs of bullying, they would never come our except to eat, and even that was less and less frequently, and were slowly losing weight. Didn't want them to just waste away hiding. Gonna stick with fairies instead. They always seem to do well.

Here's a pic of the bivittatus Wrasse under blue lights. Showing off, and slowly getting more and more green and pink coloring.

There are a few more I'd love to add. Just have to come across certain fish at the right size and price.

Feeling a bit inadequate with my list. But! New lid kit arriving this week, and working on a Plank feeder, so I'll be ready for new wrasses soon!

I love these big boy wrasse lists!

The fish coming into good lfs are getting better in quality and heath this past 6 months or so imo.
I've noticed that.

Recently I keep having exporter pages come up on my Facebook feed as suggestions, and the quality looks absolutely phenomenal, at least in their pics. I wonder where they are going here in the US, as I don't see them here locally (SE Michigan).

Lots of gorgeous wrasses, angels, and butterflies.

I love these big boy wrasse lists!
Unfortunately I haven’t seen my Coris in a few weeks. Probably my favorite or at least top 2 but it always was a coward hiding every time I did anything. Will give it another couple weeks then may consider replacing.

Also the elusive brunneus wrasse. I need a better camera!

Ft lubbocks because he always sits still for pictures.

I love these guys, I’ve seen several in my LFS but never pulled the trigger. Now I wish I did go for one, the crescent tail is gorgeous.
