The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

My lfs goes down to LA to hand pick all his fish and corals. I give him a list of things and he picks them up if he feels the quality is there. He will then acclimate over to 1.026 at his store and make sure it is feeding. Then I move it to my office QT or observation tank for 8-12 weeks then back home to the DT.

So is there a birth month Wrasse? :grinning-face-with-sweat: If so what's the wrasse for June? There are stones, flowers, all that jazz, so why not a wrasse lol. Trying to distract wifey while the contractions are hitting...
Hmmm
What are the themes of June? Month of the summer and stargazing? Then if so:

December is easy. The true Christmas wrasse

My month needs the scariest wrasse and this one only gets scarier:

Should I be at all worried that she's just out exploring and not going straight to the sand?

January above

C roseafacia for February
Coris Gaimard for July (stars and stripes (or I guess stripes then stars ;))

Then I leave the rest to you.

Did try march and well I hadn’t realized what a terrible month for holidays March is I guess

Is there a wrasse that signifies not discriminating against down syndrome pandas with brains who have jobs??

The vivien has always been a polite unassuming wrasse

We could just call Mar wash and make it the six line month.

Congratulations!
And I think you should pick Junes birth wrasse :face-with-tears-of-joy:
Absolutely! I think the yellow tail tamarin is perfect. Already told wifey we need one for Brooke now :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Well, the Laboute’s is a very nice wrasse and one I’m hoping to own soon. My LFS has a gorgeous male and I am hoping he remains there until Monday, then I’ll be hunting for a female as they’re gorgeous when paired with a true blue appearance.
Unfortunately I called to reserve the laboute’s but they couldn’t spot him, hopefully he was just hiding but dang am I unlucky. He was sat for a good month or so and I left it for 2 days then he got snagged. Oh well, just gives the LFS a new fish to look for!

I'm curious what the male was going for at your lfs. My local store wants an arm and a leg for them so I ordered my last and had it shipped.

It was just over 100 over here but those guys generally go for the equivalent of $160, a gorgeous pair was in this LFS for around the equivalent of $380.

Great prices! My lfs quoted me almost $380 for a single male. The labouti I had cost me $190, I really wish it wouldn't have gotten UNWD.

I always hunt for the young males/females for this reason, a “supermale” would easily be equal to the $400 range.

Hopefully you find another!

I'm keeping my eyes peeled although I won't be adding anything else in my main tank until after a soon to come and way too late transfer of everything to my new tank.
