What a nice looking tank.

Thanks! I really enjoy it, definitely my wife's favorite in the house. The macroalgae, live sponges, and all the gorgonians really make for a fun, unique tank. Reminds me of the European reef systems I'd see in aquarium books back in the early 2000s.

My LFS recently got in this quintet of Bartlett's anthias and I couldn't pass them up. I moved them into the 100 gallon and the whipfin Fairy has really been displaying now! Much bolder than before instead of slinking around through the background or rockwork, not attacking them, just displaying.

Feel free to ignore all the dead corals. My coral with Butterflyfish experiment has been a total disaster for the corals, but a delightful buffet for the butterflies.

Love the Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus when kept with anthias, they truly do become happy with the filler fish.

Yeah, he tends to photo bomb.

I did go looking for a few different fish tonight. Saw some gorgeous Pseudojuloides splendens (but already have one), some really nice Macropharyngodon meleagris and Macropharyngodon negrosensis. Unfortunately I brought none of those home, since the tank they would go in is no longer suitable. I actually had to pull the Halichoeres biocellatus last night. Apparently it has been only coming out in the morning because the Halichoeres cosmetus wanted to kill it. Thinking it is also the case with the moyeri, but can't remove it without finding it in the tank.

I did pick up a really nice Paracheilinus angulatus to go in the seahorse tank, along with a male mandarin dragonet, a trio of hassi Garden Eels, and a male Janss pipefish. You can see the angulatus hunkered down shortly after introduction in the video with the Garden eel burying itself.

If I were to get another coris wrasse what species should I get? I feel like it’s hard to beat a gaimard but I could be convinced.

Just get a Coris aygula and use it as an excuse to upgrade "I swear honey, I had no idea it was going to get this big this quickly"

Honestly, it would make a pretty good tankmate for bamboo sharks, the smaller rays, etc.

Hello wrasse experts. I currently have a pair of clowns, Banggai cardinals, and a lawnmower blenny in my tank. I wanted to add a pink streaked wrasse to my tank and later down the road a blue star leopard wrasse. What I have found is it is difficult to source a pink streaked wrasse.

Could you add another peaceful wrasse like the pink streaked that also would hunt pests but still would be compatible with the blue star leopard when I add it later? I was thinking the yellow banded possum wrasse but I’ve read that it hunts pods and I was hoping to have a pair of mandarin down the road and don’t want them to be outcompeted for pods.
