So I'f my Leopard does well then what other types of wrasses make good tank makes with the Leopard?
Beautiful super male Jackson6745!

Great pics Jackson. What lights are you using? (curious because the tank looks pretty blue, but you can see the fishes' colors well)
set up my 57gal about 2 months ago.
so far i got 3 wrasses:
Whip Fin Flasher Wrasse (male)
Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse (male)
Six Line Flasher Wrasse (female)
so far i haven't seen any major chasing around the tank, so hopefully it stays this way.
i was planning on adding a female fairy and ideas?
So my Melanurus wrasse I just got immediately buried himself in the sand and has not come back out. Should I be worried or is he just hiding until he feels safe....? I have 2 other wrasse as well and neither of them ever did that.

Needing help...I got a pair of Flame Wrasses Sunday and placed them in the tank at midnight. Both fish have been in opposite corners since then. There's no aggression from other fish and my params are great with the exception of some think I keep my Alk too high at 12. They were drip acclimated for one hour before being added after being in large bags for 8 hours on the road and both had signs of shipping stress but both Sunday night and Monday night they cocooned themselves. The male is looking and acting better but the female swam in the corner all night long last night. Throughout the day she swims in the top or lies in the substrate with stress lines on her. They're both eating very well and I fed them four times yesterday which I've never done to any fish before! I'm looking for experience, answers, anything that'll help me save this fish. Thanks ahead of time guys!
Yup.Several of the commonly available reef safe wrasse Genera dont bury, Cirrhilabrus, Paracheilinus, Pseudocheilinus, Pseudocheilinops, and Wetmorella. A melanurus is in the Genus Halichoeres and they all bury at night and when stressed. A new Halichoeres burying for a few days, and in some cases a few weeks is perfectly normal.
That's not necessarily abnormal; I've had some do that for the first 3-4 days before they feel a bit more comfortable in the tank. Just give it a few days.Needing help...I got a pair of Flame Wrasses Sunday and placed them in the tank at midnight. Both fish have been in opposite corners since then.
