Very nice. Yeah, I am an addict also, although I only have two, a red haed salon fairy wrasse and a Hoevens Melanurus Wrasse, and my tank is at its limit, maybe a little beyond. The Melanurus is a good boy but the red head salon fairy wrasse is a little butthead. He doesn't like my zebra barred dartfish and he will go after them just enough to show who is boss. He also likes to challenge the bigger of my two clowns. The clown goes after me when I stick my hand into the tank. The wrasse doesn't do it all the time, just once in awhile and just very quick, never any damage, the dartfish can get away.

Hi, what a great thread. :-)

I've got a melanurus & a black spot cleaner wrasse as well as a yellow tang, regal tang, copperband butterfly, mandarin, algae blenny, foxface & file fish in my 64"x30"x24" display.

I'd like to add more wrasse. The ones I like are the iridis, exquisite, carpenters flasher, mccoskers flasher, naoko, solon red headed female & the blue star leopard. Would any combination of these be likely to work ok without world war 3 erupting?

Thanks, Di

Any and all of those species should work, but there are always exceptions. I strongly recommend using a social acclimation box when introducing new wrasses to a tank with an established wrasse.

I had a McCoskers once before, he survived 3 moves with me but not the fourth. I sure miss him, he was a very friendly, beautiful fish. I am already beyond my fish limit and I don't want to stress them out my adding another fish, or I would have another one. I have a One Spot Foxface Rabbit fish, 2 Bangaii Cardinalls, 2 Ocellaris clowns, 5 Zebra Bar Dartfish, 1 flametail blenny, 1 Royal Gramma, 1 Melanurus Wrasse, 1 Red Head Salon Fairy Wrasse, 1 Scooter Blenny, 1 Coral Banded Shrimp and a clean up crew, in a 120 gallon tank. Plus a bunch of mixed corals, softies, mushrooms, lps, sps.
