Hate to break it too you, but Leo the male leopard is a female, and the red head solon is C. cf. cyanopleura, so frequently sold as a female solon, but yours is a male.

And the "Christmas wrasse" is a "Red lined wrasse"; H. biocellatus.

I have a 125 almost solely devoted to wrasses, but here is my list of current wrasse in order of favorite:

2 Female Blue Star Leopard (hiding in videos because they're still adapting to time change)

Radiant (Radient) Wrasse (New, not in videos just got him 3 days ago)

I think that's it. It's hard to keep track. I want to trade out some wrasses for prettier ones eventually, but I have a pretty cool collection. Not too many that are too rare but I like the collective group!

This was when I moved my wrasse tanks from two 55 gallons and combined them so the wrasse tank has diatom outbreak that has cleared up.

So i think this would be the best place to post i have a carpenters flasher wrasse i believe its a female but im looking to get another wrasse and generally im told im only able to get another carpenter flasher but is there any way i can get a different type of wrasse my tank is a 75 gallon tank

In fact I would strongly recommend getting a different species, as males are less tolerant of other male conspecifics.

Also, I would venture that you have a male carpenters as femles are difficult to differentiate.

When adding a new wrasse to an existing one, I would suggest using a social acclimation box to mitigate against any aggression.

Yeah it could be a female Paracheilinus sp. but I don't know what sub species it could be.

That's a male. Looks to be carpenteri, but I'd need to see the fins to be certain.

As eatbreakfast stated, best to stick with a DIFFERENT species of Paracheilinus if that's the route you wish to go.

Thanks evolved and i would rather go with a different wrasse just not sure which one to go with i think that exquisite looks awesome but i want to find out more about it first

NYA got in a Halichoeres Leucurus shipment. Not my cup of tea but pretty uncommon.

How are the Halichoeres Leucurus in a reef tank

Genus as a whole is pretty similar in my experience. They will kill the occasional shrimp and hermit crap. Maybe even a snail. Great for bad hitchhikers though.

Well by occasional shrimp would that include my peppermints and skunk cleaner
