Also, for what it's worth,

I am 1/1 for ornate leopards surviving, (so first try),
2/2 on black leopards (both made it)
1/1 on potters leopard
2/3 on regular leopard.
1/2 on male blue star leopard (one made it one month but then my wave maker electrocuted my water and I found him dead that morning)
2/8 on female blue star leopard.

Not a large sample size but just so you kno

Thats a really good record i have not lost any fish i have purchased online all on live aquaria btw and the only other fish i purchased in the store were 3 blue green chromis and the yellow tang and the blue tang both tangs were sick and all blue green chromis died after that i honestly never wanted to shop for fish in store corals are a different story though

From what I read the medium do best. I only bought one small and I am more than surprised he made it to be honest.

I think I am very lucky that my only tiny leopard survived

Well leopards are poor shippers, I would expect 1/3 or 1/4 not to survive shipping statistically.

Large leopards also struggle often and don't want to accept foods, they're stuck in their wild ways which is why people struggle with males and large leopards.

Tiny ones are too fragile, so are small ones, medium is the lucky spot.

Just added my leopard and exquisite in last Friday.The leopard came out in 2 days and is now on my normal feeding cycle.
The exquisite came out mid day Sunday and fed for a few mins...and went back into hiding...havent seen him since Sunday :/

Thats funny cause the exquisite is the other wrasse i wanted but started to change my mind cause im fascinated with the leopards

My wrasse tank has so many wrasses... including these:

1 Male Blue Star Leopard
2 Female Blue Star Leopard
2 Black Leopard

1 Scotts Fairy (Cook Islands)
1 Exquisite (Maldives Variant)
1 Solar Fairy
1 Lubbocks Fairy
1 Mccoskers Flasher
1 Filamented Flasher
1 Vroliks Male
1 Yellow "Coris" (Canary wrasse)

They all get along great. I call it my "wrasse" tank, even though it also has a blonde naso, a pair of clowns (one black one reg ocellaris), a bangai cardinal, and a target mandarin goby.

I wouldn't worry unless you don't see him for a week.

I always have better luck with fairy/flasher wrasses adding more than one at a time. I do not know why, but i used to kill them when I added only one. When I bought 2-3 at a time, they always competed with each other and were too busy showing off to die. Strange!

I did.
I added a Pyle, carpenter's,exquisite,and Leopard all at the same time. Treated and qt together as well

He may still be there yet. I qt no wrasses for my wrasse tank. Any going in my other two I qt because of fragile inhabitants (Achilles tang, moorish idol, Red Sea regal angel, rock beauty angel, potters angel, and even powder blue I would put here.

My wrasses do fine with just prazi pro treatment in reef display tank.

I am going to leave him in there while I decide if I want to sell him. Leopards aren't very aggressive with each other but I worry that as tiny as he is something in there will bully him (may be how he ended up in the overflow to begin with)

There's enough for him to bury in there, much to my dismay (although it works for this situation). He seems happy.

haha thats good then leave him in there till you need to take him out lol im still having the internal struggle if i should do the qt for them i want to cause i can observe and see how they are acting cause if they die in my dt tank ill never get to them and i wont be able to get a pic of them

I always photograph my fish in my hand as I gently place them in their respective tanks. Nets catch fins and are just as harmful to their slime coat, laying gently in my hand is less invasive in my experience, and provides for a quick photo.

ok you have to explain how you do that seriously does it freak them out and try to jump out of your hand ? when moving them to the other tank do you cover them up completely with both hands and drop them in for the wrasse will this be stressful for them?

Honestly it's an acquired skill. Best I can explain is that I move my hand slowly, cup it against the bucket, and lift calmly. Photos are taken close to the ground so if it flips there's very little fall but that's very rare 95% of them make it in with photo and no issue. Those that flop to the floor do just fine also. Fish can hold their breath for quite awhile

lol im going to assume maybe the delicate leopard wrasse should not be the first fish i try lol and seriously those fish you posted are absolutely stunning
