Sorry, I know this has probably been asked, but I'm going to ask again! If I purchase a female Melanuras Wrasse will it change into a male. I'm also going to be purchasing a McCoskers and a Carpenter wrasse! Thank you!!!

Thank you Paul! I was pretty sure that was the case, but I wanted to make sure. I just thought of something else, does it matter what size I buy, I would like to start with the smallest possible, so I can watch them grow, but I want to give them the best chance of survival possible! Thank you!!!

the one that lived is some sort of fairy wrasse. when i bought it, the label said "assorted fairy wrasses". the one that died in the isolation box was a Naoko fairy wrasse.

which is the order that should be added first to last. I've seen a melanomas wrasse and they get pretty big, are they pretty aggressive as well. territorial?

Get the flasher wrasses first, then the melanurus. Melanurus wrasses usually aren't too aggressive, but there can always be exceptions.

I know nothing of wrasses so I'm open to any advice.

I've inherited the fish below and will be doing TTM and prazipro on them in QT. They were in an established tank before but my display is ich free (76 days!) so I want to go ahead and prophylactically treat them anyways.

-Philippine lunate wrasse
-Japanese lunate wrasse
-female coris venustas wrasse

along with other fish:

-two small blotched anthias
-green banded goby
-blue spotted jawfish

I currently have a leopard wrasse and a flame wrasse pair in my tank. The rest of the fish consist of mostly tangs and angels with a few anthias, midas blenny, and clowns in there. Other than covering the heck out of my canopy, any advice at all? Are these rare wrasses? Common?

The Japanese lunatus would be the rarest, the other two aren't common, but also not rare if that makes sense.

I would introduce them using a social acclimation box. There also may be aggression between the two lunatus, as they are very closely related. Also, beware of aggression from the venusta as it gets older. They can get feisty as they mature.

The Japanese lunatus is rare; the others not really.

It's possible the Philippine and the Japanese lunatus will not be tolerant of each other, but if I understand correctly they were together beforehand.

The venusta as it matures will become a bit hard on the motile inverts, but not to the point you won't be able to keep them.

An acclimation box when adding them to the existing tankmates would be advised.

Thanks guys! I believe the Philippine one is male and the Japanese one is female if that makes any difference. I'm a little worried about the venusta though as it sounds like it'll behave very much like a melanarus wrasse.

Thanks for the heads up, that one may be rehomed then! I can't find much online about it, what would be a good price you think to rehome it for from one hobbyist to another?

So i wanted to add a few more wrasse to my collection,

Currently I have:
3 bipart leopards
1 potters
1 melagris
(all Female)
2 pintail (cf lanceolatus) pair
1 flame (female)
1 yellow corris

I want to add a male flame, a pair of rhomboid and a linetatus, perhaps pair if it exist.

Any advice about order of addition or problems I may have?

I would advise against that, given you already have a flame in the tank.

Fine yes, but I would avoid pairs and only do one of each.

It might just be the blue light, but I see one rubrimarginatus and one pylei.

I have question about the Qt and wrasse ,is the wrasse sensitive to seachem copper ? I start dosing copper in my qt and i didn't even reach the recommend dose and my leapard looking not good . ?and advice
