The Wrasse Lover's Thread!

@nola90 did you qt them ? Also where did you get them from if you don't mind

yes QT at this moment is a 75g tank a friend set up at his house down the street.
FedEx was ~5hours later than their "guarantee time", rushed the fish over to the QT as soon as I got it in hand.

Got it from LA, which has been pretty tick poor in livestock quality coming from cali lately...MANY more DOAs and shrimps not lasting more than a week. Compared them to my last order from them before the merger, this is just ridiculous like ordering from reefs2go.

That's a nice looking wrasse! The other is very pretty as well.

That is very sad to hear. What about the 14 day guarantee ?
its guaranteed under 14 days so that's good... ill get my money back and I save all of the dead bodies so I can send it in if they ever need. I just personally think its kind of ridiculous how bad their quality of fish is. I have fish in QT right now and even wrasse are showing signs of ich (or so at least I hope its just ich).

Definitely a point where everyone who orders from them really does need to have a QT setup planned and ready.

Have you treated for flukes?

This guy came in as a P. lineopunctatus . As I was putting him into the acclimation box, he did a flip and ended up in the DT.

All was well for a short while, then the C. lyukyuensis/ryukyuensis found him and started giving chase. Then the H. biocellatus joined in the fun and the poor flasher was freaking out.

I managed to catch him and he's chilling in the box. He's still stressed, but I'll leave him there for a day or two - or more if need be.

Cirrhilabrus rubripinnis breaking in the new acclimation box, as well as a new scarlet shrimp. Figured I'd toss him in there as well. He just gobbled up some garlic/selcon soaked LRS as well.

Modern aquatix ordered it for me. Not sure of the name of the distributor it came from. I got a "female" lineatus a few months back from the same distributor and it was really a transitional male. Beautiful pretty decent sized fish for the price of a small female. Unfortunately, my overflow ate it. I have a coast to coast style, no teeth, and beananimal. Full siphon pipe had enough suction to suck it up and it got stuck in the gate valve. I've since made a screen over each of the tubes. More more sucking fish up.
